Noah Lamaide had started a charity (Noah's Dreamcatcher Networks) to aid victims of Katrina. But when his beloved grandma was about to lose her home, this 12 yr old raised $10k in 1 month thru his non-profit and stopped the foreclosure!

I blogged last September about my friend  Adam's company ClearHouse which offers un-biased pre-inspections. I'm a huge advocate of knowing the condition of a property upfront. It can save a deal from painful surprises & tense negotiations mid-transaction! 

In 5 months, ClearHouse was not only written up on AGbeat.com ("ClearHouse adds transparency to home inspections, improves process"), but made their top 60 Genius Brands to Watch in 2012. And now they have just given a clean crisp make-over to their website with new videos and FAQ!  Check it out. Kudos!

Nene has the BEST expressions! She can diss u in 1 glance!
Mediatakeout questions Nene's (of Real Housewives of Atlanta on BravoTV) priorities for RENTING her house. Their Zillow screen capture of her townhouse shows her rent is a mere $1900/mo, which pales in comparison to her $100k car and $20k purse. It can appear her priorities are outta whack...but who's to say her car & purse aren't rented too!! So if she is leasing everything, I guess in some odd way, her priorities are in line then?

It's CSI: Pets! In an effort to deter renters who do not pick up after the little 'gifts' their canine pets leave, a property-management company in South Dakota now DNA-tests all the dogs in the complex. If they find dog doo-doo on the grounds, it gets sent to a DNA lab..and gets matched with the culprit!  Renters complain they are charged $30 for this, but I'm for it. Do you know how many Prada loafers I've ruined stepping in dog sh*t!

Marisa Tomei is being sued by the insurance company of her  downstairs neighbors, who allege a leak from the Academy Award winning actress' apartment caused $128,000 worth of water damage to their units. Ironically, one of the neighbors is divine director John Waters! (Thank God he wasn't named John Fires or John Mold!) 

Apartments condos can be a great and cheaper alternative to single family homes, but the trade off is  you have shared walls,ceilings & floors. Just something to consider!
