In case you missed it last month, I'm in USA Today's Home Magazine. Finally, I got my hands on the tearsheets today so I'm happy to share with you guys! Tips are about holiday settings but my tips still hold true through out the year. I dunno how to cook but I know how to make table look pretty! Happy 2013!

Marvel Comic's NorthStar got hitched w/ his partner this summer! If
Kudos to HGTV for featuring Ivan & Devin's plight. This DC gay couple was forced to go abroad because U.S. immigration law does not allow LGBTQ Americans to sponsor their foreign-born spouses for residency.

The episode will air at 10 p.m. ET on Monday, August 13, on HGTV and again at 1:30 a.m. ET

A few times a year another House Hunters expose  surfaces. It's the same complaint; it's staged, it's phony, it's scripted. (But honey, 70%-80% of reality TV is fake! Just ask the Bachelor creator!)  For some reason this latest complaint first seen on Hooked on Houses got picked up by lots of media outlets. This is gettin' old, folks!  Let's revisit my prior post from Jan 29, 2012: So Tired of These "Is House Hunters Real or Fake" Articles! It's HGTV, Not PBS!

Aren't we cute as a button?
I had an absolute blast tonite with my gal pal & stager extraordinaire Cora Sue Anthony. She just finished staging a $1.5M mid-century property by Janette Licata for Better Homes & Garden Real Estate. My old friend and HGTV hottie Ahmed Hassan did his landscaping magic. There is so much TV star power behind this listing, LOL! Best memory of the party: Cora Sue & me belting out a duet to Diana Ross' Love Hangover!

Cora Sue is the unforgettable sassy star of Real Estate Intervention on HGTV. Catch her show Wednesdays 10:30am.  Her decor tips are also plastered all over HGTV's monthly magazine. And on top of all that, she still has a thriving staging business at AnthonyStaging.com. Work it, girl!

Frontdoor.com & HGTV is running a national contest where viewers vote for their favorite listing. The Doory Awards have categories like best hi-tech home, tiny home, celeb home & more!  Nominate your listing before 3/31/12. Even if you don't win, the exposure is worth millions! Deets here

Good luck guys!

Last week, MSN.com posted an article called "What's wrong with House Hunters." It's the same old complaints: too fast, too fake, too blah blah blah. Um, hello... it's TV! Don't take it so seriously, folks. It's HGTV, not PBS! Of course, no one buys a house in 25 minutes. That's the beauty of TV. Rachel Ray miraculously whips up a soufflé in 10 minutes & nobody screams Bloody Mary! Why do real estate shows get called into question?

For the first time ever, House Hunters International is heading to the Arctic Circle. I can't wait to see the real estate agent chauffeur clients on a toboggan! This show is an spin-off of HGTV's #1 show House Hunters (which I've been on more than once! haha!). Now that they can cross off the North Pole, what is next? House Hunters Under the Sea? House Hunters Intergalactic? What frontier would you like to see?

I really enjoyed this episode of HGTV's #1 rate show House Hunters. I got to help my  friend & her hubby find a new home in San Francisco.  Not only did we go to high school together, she and I also studied abroad together in France! Mon Dieu, I was a hot mess back then! I'm glad she didn't hold that against me. LOL!

So pleased these 2 snagged a fabulous tri-level condo in the uber cool DogPatch District. (Check out my favorite restaurant there called Serpentine.)  Congrats you two!

If you are looking for a home in San Francisco Bay Area and want to be on House Hunters with me, please pop me a note!
