The pyramidal hotel in North Korea whose construction started 2 decades ago & stays unfinished, has finally been revealed to the world! Shrouded in secrecy, a tour agency has released images. ...which I have never heard of nor seen (the Beatles are WAY before my time) . But nevertheless, the quirky hotel looks like it's worth a visit, based on novelty alone!

We all know you can get a quickie marriage in Vegas. Well now you can get a quickie divorce in the Netherlands! This Dutch entrepreneur has launched Divorce Hotels, where troubled couples check in for 3 days to meet with arbitrators/lawyers to settle their split. Of the17 couples who have done this, 16 walked away from a successful divorce! He is bringing this to USA, where it should be a hit. (61% of Californians get divorced!)

Call me a hater, but  I am not sure how  I feel about this. The Out NYC is a self proclaimed gay hotel that just launched. It boasts 105 rooms, 70,000 sq ft & 11,000 nightclub called XL & much more.  It's sleek and all (if you are into that template modern steel look), but conceptually it feels like a throwback to another era of identity politics. It's 2012.  This would have been revolutionary in the 1990's, but now it just seems like chasing the "gay dollar."  I suppose it will appeal to certain factions. On the other hand, maybe I am just a latent homophobe!
