Congrats to Zoritha Thompson who won the iPad drawing!
After my smash hit appearance at the Sacramento Association of Realtors for AREAA, the self proclaimed "real estate diva deal-maker" Dao Tran & I dish about real estate. (We met one year ago! Dao, where's my anniversary ring??)

During my presentation, I searched on twitter for SF Realtor, and amazingly, I found a tweet from a guy who needed help relocating to SF. I live tweeted him on stage, and by end of my chat, he tweeted me back to contact him. Awesome new lead!

I couldn't have said this better myself! Grahma Hill's talk for Ted.com really sums up the way I'm trying to lead my life. Pare everything down. There was a time when I bought recklessly and for the wrong reasons...but really, all that did was increase my bills and make me unhappy.  How many $150 T-shirts does a guy really need?!  After all, a cotton T is a cotton T! As long as I look like a million bucks in it, who cares if it's H&M or GUCCI.   So,  I do my best to live sparsely, be efficient and nimble.

Not to sound like some Pinko, but the way we are living our lives for the last few decades is going to be the end of us. More debt & more stress.  What is the point of endless accumulation of useless stuff & the constant commericial consumption. Even in real estate, the idea you have to keep trading up to bigger and better house every few years is just not sustainable.

I'm not saying you all can live in the 420 sq ft pad  featured in the video (although I would love to! so cool) but let's edit down our lives, our space or consumption.  You'll be so much at peace...Trust me, I've been there!

"Habitat for Hermanity's Herman Chan, a real estate celebrity and expert, did a dynamite session at Real Estate Connect San Francisco on how and why Realtors should be using video as an integral part of their business..." Read the rest of the article by Bernice Ross here.

If you missed me at Real Estate Connect, don't fret. Tune into my free 1 hour webinar August 30th  "SOCIAL MEDIA: I ♥ VideoBlogging & So Should You It's hosted by YPN & California Association of Realtors.

By the way, do my eyes deceive me?!  "Real Estate Celebrity"?  I'm flattered by such a glowing label by the venerable Inman News, but honestly, I'm just a country bumpkin trying to find my way in the big city. (wink)
