Nope,  I didn't forget a couple of zero's after that 1. This real estate agent has listed his condo in Mountain View (Google, Linked In, etc) for a mere one hundred cents. He owes no mortgage, so he can play this game. It's  the "price to entice" strategy!

This give new meaning to the phrase, "I'm not gonna give it away!' which I hear from tons of people.

I like the strategy, though, and as the linked article mentions, "Listing for a dollar 'truly lets the market decide the value of the home...'"

I only wish more of my clients would list their home a tad under market (not $1 but not grossly over priced). Hell, with a $1 list price, it gives meaning to the phrase, "I can always go up." instead of the typical, "I can always come down."
